The TYT MD-995 Plus is a high-performance (10W) digital radio with AES256 encryption and an IP68 rating.
It operates in the 136–174 MHz range and supports both analog and digital modes with a high-quality AMBE+2™ vocoder.

MD-995 Plus is equipped with memory capable of storing up to 255 AES256 encryption keys.
Type-C Battery:
The TYT MD-995 Plus radio uses a modern lithium-ion (Li-ion) battery with a voltage of 7.4 V and a high capacity of 3200 mAh.

IP68 Dust and Water Protection:
The TYT MD-995 Plus radio has the highest protection rating, IP68.
This means it is completely dustproof (rating 6): the body is reliably protected against sand, cement dust, and other small particles, even after prolonged exposure.
It is also waterproof (rating 8): the radio can withstand submersion to a depth of more than 1 meter (typically 1.5–2 meters) for up to 30 minutes and is resistant to heavy rain, water droplets, or water jets.
This makes it exceptionally reliable in extreme conditions: construction sites, workshops, inclement weather, dust, and dirt.
A standard 2-pin connector is used to connect headsets and PTT (push-to-talk) devices.
This makes the radio compatible with most accessories designed for this connector, including original TYT headsets as well as headsets from other brands (such as Kenwood, Baofeng, Pofung, and many Chinese manufacturers).
Important note regarding IP68 rating: If complete waterproofing is required after connecting a headset, it is necessary to use a special waterproof headset with a suitable seal.
Standard headsets would compromise the seal at the connection point.

The TYT MD-995 Plus is available in two bands: UHF (400–480 MHz) and VHF (136–174 MHz).
This version features the VHF band.

UHF (400–480 MHz): More suitable for use in cities and indoors.
UHF signals penetrate walls and obstacles more effectively in densely populated areas.
Ideal for securing shopping centers, warehouses, and logistics facilities in metropolitan areas.
VHF (136–174 MHz): Provides longer range in open areas and over water.
