The Tecsun PL-365 radio is the latest model in our truly pocket-sized line of multiband radios.
The unique shape and dimensions of the Tecsun PL-365 were based on the requirements of our military and police customers, so that the radio fits easily onto a belt clip, in pants, or in a backpack.
The RF design of the Tecsun PL-365 has been updated and now utilizes the SiLabs Si 4735 chipset (the older PL-360 model used the Si 4734 chipset).
The new chipset adds one SSB (Single Sideband) band to the Tecsun PL-365 and extends SW band coverage up to 30 MHz.
The Tecsun PL-365 further improves the audio clarity of received signals using digital signal processing technology to process the received audio and suppress any background and RF noise.
The battery life of the Tecsun PL-365 has been improved to a maximum of 225 hours on a set of three AA alkaline batteries. The
Tecsun PL-365 also features an internal charging circuit for charging AA batteries (not included) via the radio’s USB port.
Features carried over from the previous model (Tecsun PL360) include the use of an external ferrite rod antenna for AM reception.
Using an external ferrite rod antenna with the Tecsun PL-365 is designed to overcome the limitations of the handheld form factor and delivers impressive AM (MW) performance for its class.
Further improvements in AM signal reception can be achieved by using our Tecsun AN-200 AM antenna.
The Tecsun PL-365 is the only radio in the Tecsun lineup, aside from the Tecsun S2000 and S8800 desktop radios, that provides an antenna connection for the AM/MW band.
The Tecsun PL-365 is the ideal radio for AM/MW EMI monitoring thanks to its external AM antenna and a display showing signal strength in dBuV.
The Tecsun PL-365 offers an extended FM band up to 76 MHz, allowing the radio to receive broadcasts not intended for the general public. The
Tecsun PL-365 supports our patented Easy Tune (ETM), a one-touch automatic scanning and memory function that scans the selected band and stores received signals in temporary memory, allowing for quick selection among stored stations.
