SDC 5340 Step-Down Converter, 40 A
Load: This new series of microprocessor-controlled digital DC-DC step-down converters
allows for fine-tuning of the output voltage to optimally match load conditions.
A 3-digit LED display shows: output voltage, current, operating mode, and fault status

. It also features 4 special functions:
1. A fully powered two-stage charger with 14.3 V bulk and 13.6 V float charge.
2. A remote control terminal that shuts off the converter when the ignition is off, thereby preventing the starter battery from discharging. This terminal can be used with an additional external switch.
3. Remote voltage sensing at the load point to ensure accurate output voltage for the remote load/battery, ensuring optimal operation.
4. An independent, self-contained, and always-on output (0.5 A, 13.8 V DC) for essential equipment, such as a security system, that requires a constant DC power source. It can also be used for a remote switch.

19–36 VDC input with adjustable output from 12 to 15 VDC in 0.2 V increments.

Optional Accessory: The AVS-5025 vibration sensor for automatic on/off charging control without ever touching the vehicle’s electrical system. This is ideal for non-technical users.

Comprehensive Protection
: A multi-stage software safety system with early warnings to prevent malfunctions caused by low input voltage. Most protections are resettable when conditions return to normal using the 6 diagnostic codes on the LED display.
